Tim Hines
Tim is a fractional CFO working with Manchester-based SMEs. He has extensive experience in working capital management, building control frameworks, processes and developing management reporting.
Tim has a Degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Wales, Cardiff and is a Chartered Accountant.
He qualified with a small practice working on a wide variety of clients and services before joining KPMG in the Cayman Islands and focussing on financial services.
From KPMG he then moved into industry where he has worked in FMCG (with clients such as Kellogs and HJ Heinz) and engineering businesses, looking after all areas of finance from central reporting functions to factory finance.
Tim has been a part-time CFO to growing businesses within the Manchester area for several years now and has extensive experience in working capital management and integrating new acquisitions, along with building and maintaining control frameworks, processes and developing management reporting.
More recently, Tim has supported an artisanal spirits business, which owns and manages distilleries, bars and an international e-commerce, with a presence in the UK, Germany, Russia, Australia, South Africa and the US. Still family-owned, it’s brands are distributed in 75 countries, with a turnover of £400m+ and 950+ employees.
